If you’ve ever wondered where to go after Everland, this is the answer that keeps coming up — and for good reason. It’s less than a five-minute drive from Everland, so you can easily pair the two on the same day.

What is the Samsung Fire Mobility Museum?

It’s an automobile museum in Yongin and one of Korea’s leading car-culture spaces. What makes it special is that it isn’t just rows of parked cars — it walks you through the history and culture of the automobile all the way to the future of mobility, in a hands-on, experience-driven space. For families with a car-obsessed kid, it’s hard to beat as a weekend outing. It does get fairly busy on weekends, so if you can, go on a weekday.

What’s changed after the renovation

I’d visited two years ago, then went back after hearing it had been renovated — and the short version is, it’s much better than before. The first thing I noticed was the sheer variety of hands-on programs. Where my last visit felt mostly like walking past displays, this time there were so many activity zones that it felt far more dynamic, and my little one had a blast trying everything. The outdoor grounds are spacious too — on a nice day you’ll want to spread out a mat and relax. Families were resting on the benches, and there was plenty of room for kids to run around. It’s a perfect spring or autumn outing. When Everland gets crowded and the queues wear you out, having somewhere this relaxed nearby is honestly such a relief.

The hands-on programs

This was my favorite part of the visit — there’s far more on offer than I expected.

Driving simulators — arcade-style driving-game rigs. For a car-loving kid like mine, it’s basically heaven. There were so many unusual vehicles that we lost track of time going car to car.
